We have a fantastic opportunity for a full time certified bookkeeper/accounts assistant who has experience within the financial services sector. To be successful in this role you must have previously worked in the financial services sector and be immediately available. In addition, you must be able to address all of the deliverables on the job description and ideally have previous experience with QuickBooks and the Moneysoft system. You should also be comfortable working in small team environments and working autonomously. Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 a year DOE


Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Accounts payable processing
  • Accounts receivable processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payroll bureau: employee payslips and expenses, RTI and pension calculations and submissions
  • Calculation and submission of withholding tax
  • Employee credit cards
  • Month-end support
  • Ad hoc project work
  • Familiarity with tax and accounting rules
  • Update, maintain and manage accounting records and prepare reports and summaries
  • Update and maintain financial records/data and perform other routine clerical tasks
  • Certified and regulated
  • Professional and efficient, good general attendance, punctual and very organised
  • A solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures
  • Strong numerical skills/bookkeeping experience and previous experience in accounts/ledger
  • Excellent attention to detail, computer literate and experience in financial reporting
  • Able to work to deadlines using methodical and logical approaches
  • An empathetic communicator who is comfortable talking to staff and clients
  • Computer skills: strong MS Excel knowledge/usage and proficient in MS Word. Strong experience using QuickBooks Online and Moneysoft.
